Suspect arrested and charged for Liberty Bank robbery


Bristol police have arrested and charged the suspect connected to the robbery at Liberty Bank on Farmington Avenue yesterday.

According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, officers received a phone call leading to the identity and location of 52-year-old Scott Scandura, of no certain address, after his photo appeared in the news. Scandura was found at a New Britain address, the release said.

He was charged with second degree robbery and second degree larceny and is being held on a $100,000 bond. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

The vehicle and other evidence from the robbery were recovered at the time of his arrest, the release said. Currently, Scandura is on probation for previous robbery charges, the release said.
