Thelma (Theriault) Banville, 79 of Southington passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the HCC at New Britain General. She was the wife of the late Jean Claude Banville.
She was born March 26, 1939 in St. Anne, New Brunswick Canada.
Thelma attended the Mulberry Gardens day program. She was a member of the Southington Calendar House and the New Britain French Club. She enjoyed word searches, puzzles, reading, and watching the UCONN Girls basketball, Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.
She is survived by her two children, Michael Banville of Southington and Darlene Dawson and fiancé Patrick Bunnell of Plainville; granddaughter, Ashley Lynch and husband Joshua of Bristol; two sisters in Canada and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dog, Buddy and three granddogs, Fozzie Bear, Petey, and Spencer. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Brian Dawson and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 8-10:00 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
