Obituary: William F. Frascatore, 97

William F. Frascatore, 97, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at HCC at Bradley Memorial. He was the husband of the late Amy (McDermott) Frascatore.

He was born in Southington on Jan. 29, 1920, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Tancreto) Frascatore.  Bill was a US Navy Veteran of WWII.  He was a seaman 1st class  serving in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters on the destroyer escort USS Garfield Thomas.  Bill was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post #72.Prior to his retirement Bill worked for over 30 years at Stanley Works in New Britain where he met the love of his life Amy.

He is survived by his sister Anna Petrillo of Southington as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 sisters and 7 brothers.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Thomas Cemetery at 11 am. There are no calling hours. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
