Voter registration open through Tuesday, Oct. 27

In order to vote in the State Election on Nov. 3, you must complete your voter registration by Oct. 27. Registration can be completed in person, by mail or online.

Special in-person voter registration sessions will be held at the Registrar of Voters Office Election Department, located in Town Hall at 75 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct .27.

In-person applications can be completed at the Registrar of Voters Office or at the Southington Public Library, where they must be returned and available for pick-up and processing by Oct. 27.

Mail-in applications must be postmarked by Oct. 27.

To register online, visit www.southington.org and click on Register of Voters/ Election Department under the Departments tab. Click Additional Links in the right column to be directed to a “Register to Vote” screen.

Any person who can prove they are newly moved to the town of Southington or has turned 18-years-old, with proof of birth certificate, after Oct. 27 may register at the registrar until noon on Monday, Nov. 2.

Same day registration and in-person voting will still take place on Election day (Tuesday, Nov. 3), at the lower level of Town Hall, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Election Day.
