To the editor:

Those Board of “Ethics” members who recently decided that Tom Lombardi had a violation should look in the mirror and ask themselves if they acted morally and responsibly. Their decision, based on opinion vs. the fact, is a shameful stain on their credibility. They have attempted to create a perception of conflict of interest when, in fact, absolutely none has occurred.

If this is an attempt to gain votes in this year’s election, they have simply shot themselves in the foot.

I pride myself with being an informed voter and citizen. After reviewing the public records of the various town council meeting minutes since May 2014, I am appalled at how Mr. Lombardi has been treated by this board. He acted on legal advice and did all the right things, always with the best interest of Southington in mind.

Be sure that I will vote for Tom Lombardi again. His integrity and commitment to Southington are second to none.
