To the editor:

With the ever-increasing cost of living throughout our state, I watch the budget process each year in great detail.

I have never seen greater cooperation among the different boards and commissions as I have this past year. We have true public servants who work as a team to ensure the best for our taxpayers of Southington.

The Board of Finance was tough, yet fair, forcing various town agencies to trim their budgets where possible—an important quality when we want to keep our taxes down.

The cohesive and productive atmosphere fostered by our current elected officials is what has Southington at the top of Connecticut towns.

Mike DelSanto, Southington Planning & Zoning Commission Chair
