The girls swimming and diving team (3-0) dove into Plainville’s (1-1) pool with a 95-80 victory over the Lady Devils on Friday, Sept. 25, making it their third consecutive win of the season.
Ally Schroeder, Bethany Greenlaw, Jess Piotrowski, and Olivia Fournier took first (2:04.99) in the 200 medley relay. Piotrowski returned to help Julia Mularczyk, Hannah Olsen, and Kerry Buchanan take first (1:57.36) in the 200 freestyle relay. Evelyn Holbrook joined Fournier, Buchanan, and Schroeder to take first (4:12.17) in the 400 freestyle relay.
Buchanan was successful swimming solo, taking first (2:13.36) in the 200 freestyle. Schroeder also accomplished an individual achievement by taking first (2:30.68) in the 200 individual medley. Fournier was a double winner on the afternoon with first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (25.94) and 500 freestyle (5:57.97). Sam Sagnella joined in on the action by finishing first (1:11.17) in the 100 fly. Greenlaw finished off her day with a first-place finish (1:20.70) in the 100 breaststroke.
The Lady Knights will look to stay perfect in the pool with a home meet against Conard (1-1) on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
