Crowley picks ‘Best in Show’

World War II veteran Frank Crowley, 96, was recognized for his community efforts as a special guest of honor at the fourth annual Rev Up for a Cure Classic Car and All-American Muscle fundraiser at the Southington Drive-In on Sunday, Aug. 9.

Crowley, above, with Lily Mae, left, and Nicole Costello, right, of All-American Productions, was honored as part of a Denver-based program called that selects seniors who give back to their communities and fulfill a wish for them.

Crowley’s wish to be a guest of honor at the show, and he was presented a special award of recognition before selecting and presenting the “Best in Show” award. The fundraising event was organized by Jenny Lynn Dean, who lost a relative to cancer.
