Southington police announced the arrest of Tyler Bhulai, 29, of Portland for public indecency, second degree breach of peace, and risk of injury/ impairing the morals of a child following an incident at Lake Compounce amusement park on July 28.
Police were called to the park after Lake Compounce security officers had detained Bhulai after receiving complaints from a park guest. During the investigation, Bhulai was observed sitting on a bench in the area of the water park, and he was seen touching himself inappropriately.
Security officers responded to the area, and they also reported witnessing the same behavior.
Security estimated that, at the time, attendance at the park was approximately 6,000, with numerous adults and children in the area at the time of the incident. The area is a main throughway for guests waling from the main gates to the water-park.
Bhulai was arrested and released on a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear at the Bristol Court on Aug. 10.
