Team Nutmeg defeated Team Constitution, 44-22, in the third annual Super 100 Senior All-Star Classic Game at Rentschler Field on Saturday, June 27.

A 29-yard scoring reception from Windsor’s John Nolan to Glastonbury’s Chika Chukwu put the game out of reach for Team Constitution in the fourth quarter, even though the game was tied 14-14 at one point in the first half.

Southington’s Matt Koczera (DL), Matt Steeves (OL), and Matt Thomson (LB) were among the first 50 players to taken in the draft.

Koczera was drafted by Team Constitution and both Steeves and Thomson were drafted by Team Nutmeg. Xavier’s Tanner Kern (OL) of Xavier won the Constitution coaches award.

St. Paul’s Daija Fitzpatrick (S) was the defensive MVP and Norwich Free Academy’s Khaleed Exum-Strong was the offensive MVP.
