American Legion honors local policeman and fireman

On Monday, May 25, the American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 recognized two local officers for exceptional service in the Southington community this year.

Officer Chad Butler of the Southington Police Department was named Police Officer of the Year, and Keith Glabau of the Southington Fire Department was named Firefighter of the Year by the Legion.

Both were honored with their captains and presented with awards during a ceremony outside the legion hall following the Memorial Day parade.
