Gallo is in the running for regional officer of the year

American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 in Southington announced that Officer Thomas Gallo of the Southington Police department has been named the 2015 North East Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.

Officer Gallo was initially selected from a group of Southington officers submitted by Southington Chief of Police John Daly and his staff. His nomination was forwarded to the Department of Connecticut American Legion, and they selected Officer Gallo to represent the State of Connecticut as the 2014 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for 2014.

In addition, Gallo’s nomination was submitted to the American Legion National Law and Order Committee where he was selected to represent the Northeast region for the 2015 award. This decision will be made at the Legion’s national executive meeting in May.
