HHC and Southington Schools partner for substance abuse discussion

The Hartford HealthCare (HHC) Behavioral Health Network (BHN) and the Southington Public Schools invite the public at large to a free, open community dialogue on substance abuse. This event takes place on Wednesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Southington Municipal Center at 200 North Main Street.

Substance Abuse Across the Lifespan: A Community Dialogue is the latest in a series of interactive mental health forums sponsored by affiliates of the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network.

This event is part of the ongoing National Dialogue on Mental Health Series being held at various locations throughout the state and features presentations from behavioral health experts, advocates and consumers. Attendees are invited to ask questions, share their stories, and learn more about this topic. Panelists include: Tim Harmon, a young adult in recovery; Dr. J. Craig Allen, Medical Director at Rushford; Linda McEwen, LCSW, The Hospital of Central Connecticut; Susan Saucier, Director, Southington Youth Services; and Margaret Walsh, Director, Pupil Services, Southington Public Schools.
