The Connecticut Gurdwara Nanak Darbar temple on West Street continues to play a large role in supporting Southington’s Bread for Life. In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, the local Sikh temple shopped for and delivered several hundred pounds of nonperishable food to Bread for Life’s storage facility. Along with the food donations, they also provided a monetary donation.

“The Sikhs are a giving group that wants to make a difference in feeding the hungry,” said Eldon Hafford, executive director of Bread for Life. “Without such support, we could not do all that we continue to do day after day, year after year. They help make it all happen.”
