Appear in local film, bowl for free

Plainville resident and local film maker Dennis Broderick is calling all families and friends to participate a free bowling event with a special opportunity, being an extra in a film.
“Mint on Card,” a family friendly comedy by Third Life Cinema, is an independent film being taped primarily in the town of Plainville.
“A Night in the Movies” is an opportunity for the community to be an extra in a bowling scene.
“You get to be an extra in movie and if you like bowling even better, because you get to bowl for free,” said Broderick from Third Life Cinema.
Participants should bring a canned food to support the Plainville Food Pantry and will be able to bowl from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Laurel Lanes. People who do not want to bowl can still come and be a part of the scene.
Third Life Cinema will be filming one scene including everyone and participants will be asked to cheer on a local bowling pro that has to shoot split pins.
“It’s a funny scene; we’re probably going to have to do it several times because everyone’s going to laugh,” said Broderick who is playing the character.
For those who would like to attend the event, email thirdlifecinema@ with the number of people that will be coming.
Local business and vendors will be sponsoring this event and will have their printed on t shirts to appear in the film. Local business owners can also email Third Life if they would like to sponsor.
