Mount Southington hosted it’s annual winter carnival and cardboard box sled race on Saturday, March 2.  Participants designed their own sleds in attempt be the fastest to ride down the thunderbolt trail.  Sleds were judged in the categories of best overall, fastest, best construction, and best fiasco.  See slide show below for more photos.  Photos…

Sikhs Host a Vigil

  The Sikhs temple in Southington held a candlelight vigil on Friday, December 21st in remembrance of  the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting.  The group welcomed town officials to speak at the ceremony.  The evening was  followed by a traditional Sikhs banquet and music.  Photos by:  Tammi Naudus
