Southington celebrates the 46th annual Apple Harvest Festival once again.  The festivities started last Friday with opening ceremonies.  People enjoyed music, dancing, food, amusement park, and various vendor booths.  The festival was canceled on Saturday due to the rain.  Sunday the town celebrated with the annual parade.    The festival will carry on this weekend with the addition of  the Harvest The Arts festivities. …

SCCA raises enough funds to lease the Gura Building

Southington Community Cultural Arts has raised enough money towards renovating the Gura Building and on Monday night, the Town Council voted unanimously to lease the building to the group for a $1 a year.
