When it comes to underage drinking and teen substance abuse, can you spot the red flags?

The Current Alcohol & Other Drug Trends Training provides key information and trends that every adult should know in regards to alcohol products, prescription drugs, designer drugs, and other street drugs. Stay on the cutting edge of alcohol and drug fads commonly used by tweens, teens, and college students in Connecticut, with a look into marketing, popular culture, social norms, and environment.

Join this evening of frank discussion about current alcohol and drug trends presented by Ryan Morgan of the Governor’s Prevention Partnership & PreventionWorksct.org. Topics include: “Drinking Culture,” “Alcopops and Alcoholic Energy Drinks,” “Flavored Alcohol Trends,” “Dangerous Consumption Patterns and Games,” “Marketing, Advertising and New Technologies,” “Marijuana, Salvia and Synthetic Drugs,” “Prescription and Over-the-Counter Drug Abuse,” and “Inhalant Abuse.”

The program will be held Monday, April 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Congregational Church of Plainville, UCC, 130 West Main St., Plainville.
