Strikers win the President’s Cup

The Southington Strikers 12-U girls soccer team was honored during the Jan. 25 Town Council meeting. The Southington Soccer Club team went undefeated during the fall to earn their second consecutive division championship before claiming the state title to earn the club’s first visit to the US Youth Soccer Regional President’s Cup. The team scored five wins over two days, culminating in a 3-0 win over Virginia to win the President’s Cup.
