Ray J. Gooding, 93, of Southington passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home. He was predeceased by his wife Lois Gooding.
He was born April 22, 1925 in Maine and was a WWII veteran serving with the U.S. Army.
Ray had a love for horses and was the owner of Circle G Stables in Southington. He was a Teamster with Local 671.
He is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Green of Southington; his grandson Robert Parker who he raised as his son and wife Gina of Farmington; sister-in-law and his caregiver, Maryann Fredrickson; a sister Joyce Petralito; five grandchildren, Matthew, Cara, Tamera and Joshua Gooding, and Jamie Kablik; 10 great-grandchildren; Owen, Olivia, Angellina, Froncesca, Victoria, Caitlyn, Cody, Casey, Maeve and Eden and two great great-grandchildren; his former wife Teena Gregory-Gooding, step-son, Gregory Carragan and step-daughter Lisa Kyer. He was predeceased by a son, David Gooding; two brothers, Robert and Charles Gooding and a sister, Phyllis Schaub.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
