Southington Police with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police and the bureau of alcohol and tobacco and firearms responded to reports of an explosion at Summer Brook Apartments, located on Darling St., in the early afternoon of Nov. 20.
Officials served a search warrant on the apartment. The warrant was the result of a joint investigation into the illegal possession/sales attempt of a firearm.
The Central Region Emergency Response team assisted with the serving of the search warrant. The warrant was served without incident.
No further details are available due to the fact that the search warrant was ordered sealed by the court. At no time was there any danger to the public, officials said in a release.
