Theresa (Corriveau) LaBrie, 100, wife of the late Yvon LaBrie, died on Monday, October 29th at Southington Care Center.
Born on December 13, 1917 on her family’s farm in Clair, Province of New Brunswick, Canada, she was the oldest daughter of the eleven children of the late Alfred and Edith (Cyr) Corriveau. She moved to New Britain, CT in 1953. She was a homemaker and a great cook who also enjoyed quilting. Her favorite past times were getting together with her siblings and reminiscing about life on the farm. She was famous for finding and giving away four leaf clovers.
Theresa is survived by a daughter Rella and her husband James Fowble, sons John and his wife Martha “Marty” LaBrie all of Southington, Robert LaBrie and his fiancée Cherie Norton of Berlin, six grandchildren, Rodney Knight, Kristen and Kendra LaBrie, Nicole Evanko, Michael and Jillian LaBrie, five great grandchildren, Kilian, Dane and Cole LaBrie, Drew and Derek Evanko, brothers Guy Corriveau of Madawaska, ME, Robert Corriveau of Plainville, sisters, Rolande Nadeau of Cromwell, Muriel Caron of Hebron, Cecile Chamberland of Newington, several nieces nephews and a whole bunch of cousins. She was predeceased by brothers Luc, Camille, and Leo, sisters Germaine Beaulieu and Rita Nadeau.
A funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday November 3rd at DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas cemetery.
