HELPING CHILDREN OVERCOME ANXIETY. 7 to 9 p.m. at Southington Youth Services, 196 N. Main St. Dr. Thomas Finn, psychologist with over 30 years of experience in the treatment of anxiety, will present his workshop. Open to Southington residents. Admission is free. Space is limited. “LIGHT UP THE GREEN” CONTEST. Open to Southington residents, 3-10 years old. Two official “switch flippers” will be chosen to light up the holiday light displays at the Southington and Plantsville Town Greens during the “White Christmas in the Community” event on Friday, Dec. 7. VILLAGE GREEN NURSERY SCHOOL. Offers a 2.5-hour 3-year-old program on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a 4-year-old program on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
