Wendy A. (Chopus) Borkowski, 45, of Southington passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the HCC at Bradley Memorial.
Born September 9, 1973 in New Britain, she was the daughter of Wayne and Susan (Josephson) Chopus of Southington.
Wendy was beautiful, vibrant, and energetic, and known for spreading that infectious energy to all in the room at every holiday, birthday, and family event. Wendy loved her children “forever and a day”, and she would glow with pride each and every time she talked about them. Wendy brought endless smiles to the faces of all she came in contact with, and she will be missed deeply by all her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was the loving mother of Christopher Borkowski and Ali Borkowski both of Southington; a brother, Wayne W. Chopus and wife Caroline and their daughters, Lily and Hannah of Canton; grandmothers, Gemma Josephson of New Britain and Phyllis Chopus of W. Palm Beach, FL; fiancé, Chad Boudreau of Southington and his children Mackenzie and Chase. She will be missed by her aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Carlton Josephson and Henry Chopus and an uncle Kenneth Chopus.
Funeral services will be Monday, 10 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
