Don Michael Emond, age 63, of Southington, passed away peacefully on September 20th after a courageous 3 year fight with glioblastoma.
Don was born on August 12, 1955 to Gilbert and Marilyn Emond. He attended Southington High School and graduated with the class ‘73. He was a free spirit and talented artist with the gift to light up a room and have everyone laughing. Prior to his illness he was happily living his dream in Down East Maine running his beloved shop West Bay Antiques. He will be greatly missed as a loyal friend, dear son and brother and loving father.
In addition to his parents, Don is survived by his daughters Caitlin Emond and Lindsey Britton and 2 grandsons, Nathan and Zachary Saucier. He is also survived by his brothers, Gil and David Emond, as well as his sister Susan PrigItano.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 5th at 6:30pm at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry St. in Plantsville.
