Henry Papciak

Mr. Henry S. Papciak, 86, of Plantsville, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughters by his side, Wednesday, August 8, 2018.  He was the loving husband of Mary A. (Daddona) Papciak.

Henry was born in Meriden, CT on December 24, 1931, son of the late Stanley M. and Viola (Cynar) Papciak.  He graduated from Meriden High School Class of 1950. He earned his Master of Science in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute of Technology, now Kettering University in Flint, MI. He served in the US Navy Reserve from 1957 to 1963. He enjoyed frequenting the casino, cars, fine dining with his family and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. Henry loved telling jokes and was well known for his great sense of humor.

Besides his wife, Mary, of 56 years, he leaves two daughters; Marybeth Dorio and her husband David of Forestville, and Lynda Crescenti and her husband Melchior of Wallingford, a brother; Paul A. Papciak of Meriden, a brother-in-law; Anthony Daddona of Weston, a sister-in-law; Roseanne McKean and her husband Brian of Middlebury, four grandchildren; Lyndsay Crescenti, Melchior Crescenti II, Kevin Dorio and Rachel Dorio, and several nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by his brother, Thaddeus Papciak and sisters-in-law, Nancy and Sheila Papciak.

A Mass of Christian Burial with his cremains present was held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at St. Aloysius Church 254 Burritt Street Plantsville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury was entrusted with his care.
