On Tuesday, July 3, Southington police arrested Janessa Ives, 33, of Southington for a drunken driving incident with a teen passenger.
Police received a call about Ives operating a vehicle erratically, and witnesses said that she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Police located Ives and the vehicle, and police determined that she was intoxicated. At the time of the incident, Ives had a fifteen year old in the vehicle with her.
She was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and risk of injury to a minor. Ives was released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear in Bristol Court on July 16.
