James Allen, 29, of Southington was arrested on May 13 after throwing a bottle through a sliding glass door at the home of his ex-girlfriend and threatening her on the phone.
Police were called after Allen threw the glass bottle at his ex-girlfriends residence while she and her infant was asleep in her bedroom. The victim contact police, but Allen had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
A couple of hours later, the victim was speaking with one of Allen’s family members when Allen began to yell into the phone, threatening her. Once again, the victim called the police. A short time later, Allen turned himself in at the Southington Police Department headquarters.
Allen was charged with risk of injury to a minor, second degree criminal mischief, second degree breach of peace, second degree threatening, and second degree reckless endangerment. He posted a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bristol court on May 14.
Since this was classified as a domestic violence incident, police are withholding the victims’ names.
