Leadership change at the chamber

The Greater Southington Chamber of Commerce announced the resignation of Elizabeth Hyatt as its executive director in a press release sent out on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The release said that Hyatt has accepted a new position with a non-profit organization.

“The Board is appreciative of Liz’s hard work and wishes her well in all her future endeavors,” said the release.

The Chamber Board also announced that it has hired Taylor Crofton as an interim executive director, effective Monday, Oct. 2.

“On behalf of the entire board of directors, I would like to welcome Taylor to her new position and share the excitement we all feel for what she undoubtedly will bring to the organization,” said Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors, Kate Sirignano, in the release. “As a Southington native and fellow business owner, Taylor’s contributions to the goal of promoting our overall mission will be smart and decisive, fueled by her strong personal and professional interests.”

Crofton is the current sales and marketing coordinator at the chamber, a local business owner, and a life-long resident of Southington.

“I am confident that with her collaboration we will continue to see our business environment here in town grow ever stronger and even more vibrant,” Sirignano said in the release.
