FILL THAT CRUISER FOR SCS FOOD PANTRY. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Walmart, Queen Street. The Giving Back Girls are holding a fundraiser for the Southington Community Services food pantry. Items in great need include: tuna fish, cannded fruits and vegetables, juice boxes, peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, paper goods, canned pasta, toiletries, canned soup, snacks, and cereal.

SOUTHINGTON COMMUNITY-WIDE SUMMER PICNIC. 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Park pavilion. Gishrei Shalom Jewish Congregation will host its annual community-wide summer picnic. This social event is an opportunity for individuals and families interested in learning more about the small, active Reform congregation. The event is free and open to the public. POST OFFICE PASSPORT EVENT. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Plantsville Post Office, 847 S. Main St. Bring the following documents to apply or renew a passport: application for first time applicants (DS-11) or renewals (DS-82); citizenship evidence for first time applicants; 2 forms of ID (with photocopies of front and back of each ID); passport photo (service available for $15); and payment. YANKEES-RED SOX BUS TRIP. Bus leaves at noon from St. Paul Catholic HS in Bristol. Cost is $150 per person and includes bus to Yankee Stadium, ticket to the game, sandwiches, snacks and beverages.
