To the editor:

The staff at LISA, Inc. are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Southington community through the month of June. As part of Liberty Bank Lends a Hand, sponsored by Liberty Bank of Southington, dozens of items were donated to support the young people we serve as they begin to work towards living independently.

Because of Sarah, Patti, Deb, Diane, Dave, and Rob, Liberty Bank Lends a Hand really did make a difference for us. We thank you for the outpouring of support.

The mission of LISA, Inc. is to provide safe, supportive, empowering programs that build skills, awaken hope for the future, and help young people successfully transition into adulthood.  We do this work because we want all young people to receive the support they need to become adults who are healthy, productive, and self-sufficient.

The cost of the services we offer often exceed the allocation we are provided, making donations like these incredibly important.

Thank you for helping us support some of Connecticut’s most vulnerable youth.

Kimberly S. Selvaggi, LISA, Inc. executive director
