On Wednesday, June 21, at approximately 7 p.m., police were dispatched to 500 Pleasant Street on a report of an altercation between two residents of the complex. Based on the investigation, police arrested Madeline Roy, 54, of 500 Pleasant St.
According to police, Roy went to confront another resident of the complex about spreading rumors. During the confrontation, Roy allegedly knocked a baseball hat off victim’s head before pushing him and nearly knocking him out of a chair. Roy continued to yell at the victim and pushed him in the chest.
The victim pushed Roy away from him, and when he said he was calling police Roy returned to her apartment. When police arrived, she was uncooperative and resisted being taken into custody. The victim claimed he has never had contact with Roy, and he does not know her.
Roy was arrested and charged with second degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer. She was released on a $5,000 bond with a court appearance scheduled for July 3.
