She was born March 29, 1935 in Southington the daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta (Mongillo) Mastrianni. She graduated from Grace New Haven School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1956. In the late 1970’s Jean owned and operated Community Care Services for 25 years in Cheshire along with her business partner and close friend, Eileen Geis. Although she was a successful career woman her biggest passion was her grandchildren. Jean’s warm welcoming ways are what friends remember most.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Brenda Stank of Pennsylvania, Brian Daigle of Massachusetts, and Brigette White of Vermont, and her 5 grandchildren; Aaron and Aimee Stank, Julia and Brittany Daigle and Catherine White. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; Richard Mayo, Gary Mayo, Joseph Mayo, Marcia Daigle, Patricia Guerette and Dale Daigle. She also leaves behind her sons and daughter by marriage; Richard White, Arthur Stank and Deborah Daigle. She was predeceased by her sister and best friend, Mary Rose Elliott.
The family wishes to thank the team from PAFY that cared for her with great compassion and love; Maureen, Lynn, Erin and Ruth. They are also grateful for the tireless support of countless friends and neighbors.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 2nd 10:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Aloysius Church; 254 Burritt St., Plantsville at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery.
