TOUCH A TRUCK. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southington drive-in, 995 Meriden Waterbury Tpk. Cost is $3 for kids ($1 for adults). Sponsored by the Southington American Legion Auxiliary. The event includes military, rescue, and construction vehicles, along with local K-9 officers. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The rain date is Sunday, May 21.

CAMP CARLSON OPEN HOUSE. 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Camp Carlson, 700 Willis St. Visit the Girl Scouts of Connecticut day camp for girls in grades 4-12. Not limited to Girl Scouts. Camp focuses on learning outdoor skills, developing leadership qualities, hiking, appreciating nature, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, archery, horse riding, singing, making friendship bracelets, playing, and making s’mores. APPLE HARVEST FESTIVAL HOSTESS REGISTRATION. Must be Southington residents going into their junior or senior year of high school this fall. AHF hostesses will participate in the Southington Italian-American Festival, the Bristol Mum Parade, Music on the Green, Apple Harvest contests, and more.
