SOUTHINGTON

JIM LAURINO ART DEMO. 7 p.m. at the Gallery at The Orchards, 34 Hobart St. Sponsored by The Southington Arts and Crafts Association. The judge for the SACA juried art show will offer a free demonstration of his oil painting technique. He studied design and color theory at the University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts. The demo follows a brief member’s meeting at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.

ERIC PANKE EXHIBIT. At SoCCA, corner of Main St. and Berlin Ave. Hours are Tuesdays-Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eric Panke is an award-winning illustrator whose work has appeared in Sports Illustrated and Entertainment Weekly. His recent work explores the work of sports, popular culture and fashion.
