The Law Offices of John Q. Gale LLC announced that Kelcie Reid has joined the firm as a full-time associate attorney, effective immediately. Reid joins founder John Gale and associates Derek Poirier and Hide Inga at the downtown Hartford firm.
The 2009 SHS graduate has been with JQG in some capacity since 2012, when she began her internship while studying linguistics and psychology as an undergraduate at the University of Connecticut. She enrolled at UConn Law School in 2013 and added a master’s program in public health the following year. She earned juris doctor and master’s degrees in May 2016 and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association in November.
“Considering Kelcie’s accomplishments within and outside our firm, we expect great things from her as a licensed attorney,” Gale said in a press release. “She is an exceptionally bright and determined young professional and we are lucky to have her.”
Reid credits the firm with providing a practical, hands-on education in legal terminology, documentation and courtroom processes at an early stage in her career.
“I have always wanted to work here. I like that it’s a small-office environment, and John and Derek have been good teachers and very patient,” she said in a press release. “I am grateful for the opportunity to apply that experience to the representation of the firm and its clients.”
