Obituary: Angelina (Giraffe) Fusco, 92

obit-angelina-fuscoAngelina (Giraffe) Fusco, 92, of Southington, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at HCC of New Britain General. She was the wife of the late Salvatore F. Fusco Sr.

She was born in Southington on Oct. 12, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Ebello) Giraffe.

Prior to her retirement she had worked at GE in Plainville, she worked at W.T. Grant in Southington for many years. She assisted with many fundraisers for A>R.C of Southington and Manfield State Training School.  She was also employed at DellaPuca Nursery and Florist Shop creating flower arrangements for weddings and other occasions.  She later owned her own company called Angie’s Arrangements making silk flower arrangements for all occasions.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Salvatore Jr. and Annelise Fusco of Southington, three grandchildren and spouses, Michelle (Fusco) Hobson and husband Keith, Melissa (Fusco) Patrick and husband Gene. Christopher John Fusco and wife Kawal Hanjan-Fusco and six great-grandchildren, David and Kathryn Hobson, Celina and Alex Patrick and Maggie and Nicholas Fusco. She also leaves a sister Anna Sirerol of Southington as well as her cousin and friend Emily DellaPuca and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son David Fusco and two brothers Frank and Sabastian Giraffe.

Mrs. Fusco was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at 10 am at  St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd. at 10 am.  Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 from 4-8 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
