STUFF MY MOM’S SUV FOR CCMC. 11 A.M. TO 3 P.M. AT 2223 Meriden Waterbury Tpk. 7th annual toy drive to benefit Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Donations accepted for new, unwrapped toys. Sponsored by Reilley Walden, a 10th grade student at Southington High School.



OPEN FARM AND GIFT MAKING WORKSHOP. Noon to 5 p.m. at Bradley Mountain Farm, 537 Shuttle Meadow Rd. Meet a herd of dairy goats and spend some time on a working farm as they make handmade gifts for the holidays in the soap shop. TRIP TO WILLIAMSTOWN. Sponsored by the First Baptist Church, 581 Meriden Ave. Visit the Williams Inn for a day filled with merriment and a Christmas Feast. Entertainment by Miss B. WHITE CHRISTMAS IN THE COMMUNITY. 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Southington, downtown Plantsville, and the rails-to-trails park. Event is coordinated by the Merchants of Downtown Southington and the Village of Plantsville Association. Free transportation will be provided for travel between events. An array of activities and programs at both venues and combined events, such as hay rides along the Linear Trail, a trolley running up and down Main Street and a family Christmas ornament craft station at both locations. TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE. At Wireless Zone, 842 Queen St. The Verizon Wireless carrier is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. An in store bin for new toy donations will be avaialable during business hours.



BULKY WASTE TRANSFER STATION HOURS. The bulky waste transfer station on Old Turnpike Road will be open for the following dates and times: from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 17.

PERSONALIZED PAVERS FUNDRAISER. The American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 is replacing the sidewalk in front of the post at 64 Main St. Cost is $50 to inscribe a personal message to a loved one or dates of service for a veteran in your family on a paver for the walkway.
