To the editor:

Thank you to everyone who supported me in this campaign, and I thank God for what was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.

There are too many people to go through to thank everyone specifically, but I really want to thank my family for being so supportive and helpful, and my treasurer Steve Massucci for all of the time he spent on this campaign.

Rep. Joe Aresimowicz defeated me by a slim margin, and I am sorry to those of you who supported for me that I was not able to garner enough votes to be elected. I spoke to Aresimowicz on Election Night to congratulate him, and he was very gracious in victory.

I again wished him the best back at the capital for the next term, and I hope his tenure as Speaker of the House is both good for the state and enjoyable for him.

Thank you again everyone who I met in this campaign, even if you did not vote for me. You all taught me more than I could have ever expected.

Chris Morelli, Republican candidate for Connecticut’s 30th district
