THANKSGIVING PIE SALE. Fundraiser for Southington Care Center’s Sunshine Club. Orders must be received by Nov. 15 for 10-inch pies (apple, caramel apple nut, blueberry, fruits of the forest, pecan, pumpkin). Cost is $10. Dozens of trees and other holiday items will be featured along with hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, wine raffle and a unique elves workshop. Cost is $15 ($10 for seniors 55 and over). WHITE CHRISTMAS IN THE COMMUNITY. 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Southington, downtown Plantsville, and the rails-to-trails park. Event is coordinated by the Merchants of Downtown Southington and the Village of Plantsville Association. Free transportation will be provided for travel between events. An array of activities and programs at both venues and combined events, such as hay rides along the Linear Trail, a trolley running up and down Main Street and a family Christmas ornament craft station at both locations. BULKY WASTE TRANSFER STATION HOURS. The bulky waste transfer station on Old Turnpike Road will be open for the following dates and times: from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 17.

The American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 is replacing the sidewalk in front of the post at 64 Main St. Cost is $50 to inscribe a personal message to a loved one or dates of service for a veteran in your family on a paver for the walkway.
