To the editor:

As a healthcare professional practicing at The Bradley Campus of the Hospital of Central Connecticut and the Women’s Center of Southington, I see first-hand the need for state policies that encourage the highest quality of care for our patients.

Fortunately, State Rep. Joe Aresimowicz has been there for practitioners, patients and healthcare consumers alike. He stood firmly against additional cuts to our hospitals, and these changes did not happen.

I have been impressed with Aresimowicz’s commitment to his community and availability to those who have questions or need help with state agencies.

I hope the voters of the 30th district re-elect him on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Jean M. Weigert, MD FACR, Section Head of Mammography at Hospital of Central Connecticut
