To the editor:
I will be voting for Chris Morelli for State Representative in the 30th District on Tuesday, Nov. 8. While I’ve supported Joe Aresimowicz in the past, I won’t be voting for him in this election.
I met Chris when he came to my house campaigning. I liked what he had to say about helping small businesses and protecting Crescent Lake water shed land. When I found out he’s one of the few candidates who refused to take public taxpayers money for his campaign, I liked him even more.
Why on earth are taxpayers paying for these campaigns? Friends of mine who own small businesses are suffocating under taxes and regulations and no one seems to care. No one’s listening to any of us, and it’s time we did something about it.
I can’t tell you how tired I am of having politicians doing what’s best for them, rather than what’s best for the citizens of the state. Then, as usual, right around election time, they suddenly seem to care and throw money around.
I won’t be fooled anymore. We need a change badly, and I’ll do my part by voting for Morelli for State Representative in the 30th District. Sorry Joe, but you haven’t earned my vote.
Joe LaRosa, Southington
