Boys Soccer scores 2 shutouts

soccer-shsThe Blue Knight soccer team finished last week with a pair of shutouts, extending their winning streak to three games as they fight for better seeding in the upcoming Class LL tournament.


OCT. 24—Southington began the week at Windsor where they blanked the Warriors, 4-0.

John Testa scored twice to pace the offense. Elijah Rodriguez and Owen Bajrami scored. Alexis Frausto, Erik Kryzanski, Joseph Colaccino, and Ronaldo Nieto each contributed with an assist.

Southington took 12 shots on goal with two corner kicks. Evan Daddona saved three of Windsor’s nine shots on goal.


OCT. 28—The Knights returned home to host Avon on Friday, celebrating senior night with a 1-0 victory over Avon.

John Testa scored the lone goal of the game during the 20th minute of the second half. Southington took 15 shots on goal.

Daddona saved five of Avon’s eight shots on goal.

Southington is currently 9-4-2 overall and 0-3-1 in the CCC Central Blue Division. The Knights will wrap up the regular season in West Hartford on Oct. 31 to take on NW Catholic (4-9-1).
