These are the results for Southington High School’s varsity contests for Wednesday, Oct. 26. For more in-depth coverage, read next week’s Southington Observer.


Girls Volleyball: Southington completed their regular season with their 10-straight win with a 3-1 victory in their second out-of-conference match of the year at Pomperaug (13-4). After taking the first set, 25-15, the Lady Knights dropped the second set by two points, 25-23, but rallied to take the next two sets, 25-21, 25-18. Morgan Raymond attacked the net with 12 kills and went 20-for-21 serving with seven aces. Raymond also anchored the defense with 19 digs. Southington finished the regular season at 15-3 overall and 4-0 in the CCC Central Blue Division (8-2 in the CCC Central Region). If Glastonbury (13-4) wins their match against Simsbury (13-6) on Thursday, Oct. 27, Southington will share the CCC Central Blue Division title with Glastonbury. If Glastonbury loses, Southington will claim the divisional title outright. The Knights are currently tied for sixth in Class LL and fourth in the CCC.
