Tammy Maguire, a Southington resident, was named as a CFO of the Year by the Hartford Business Journal at a Sept. 8 luncheon in Farmington. Maguire was one of four honored. She was recognized for her work at BlumShapiro in the division for private companies with 100 employees or less.
“These four CFOs are vital in creating business success in the Greater Hartford Region,” said Joe Zwiebel, president and publisher of the Hartford Business Journal in a press release. “We are honored to recognize them and wish them continued success.”
The awards honored financial professionals for their commitment to excellence and outstanding performance in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
The luncheon featured keynote speaker Kevin Lembo, State Comptroller, who spoke on “The Path Toward Predictable Policy: The Benefits of a Stable Government and How We Can Get There.”
The CFO of the Year Awards were presented by the Hartford Business Journal and sponsored by Aon, Cox Business, Grant Thornton, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Kelser Corporation (event sponsors).
