BARK FOR LIFE AT THE DRIVE IN. 10:30 a.m. at the Southington Drive In. Proceeds benefit Bark for Life, a division of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The event is a fun day where families and their furry friends will celebrate the lifelong contributions of canine caregivers to cancer patients.

BULKY WASTE TRANSFER STATION HOURS. The bulky waste transfer station on Old Turnpike Road will be open for the following dates and times: from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 15, 22, 29; Nov. 5, 9; and Dec. 3, 17.
