After receiving a call from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office out of Tampa, Fla., Southington police tracked a fugitive to the Southington Motor Lodge, at 165 Jude Ln. As a result, Thomas Mullins of Naugatuck was taken into custody at the hotel.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, Southington police were advised that they had a full extraditable warrant related to two counts of sexual battery on a victim less than 12 years old.
Officer responded to the hotel and made contact with Mullins. He was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice and held on a $1 million bond.
He was scheduled to appear in Bristol court on Oct. 3 to answer the current charge and await extradition to Florida.
