To the editor:
As Connecticut faces a $3 billion budget shortfall for the upcoming 2017-2018 fiscal year, the stakes could not be any higher for this November’s election. We cannot allow the trend of over spending to continue by re-electing loyal Democratic representation such as State Rep. Dave Zoni.
Throughout his four years in office, Zoni has voted in line with his party, headed by Gov. Dannel Malloy, an astonishing 99 percent of the time, highlighted by voting in favor of the current budget which garnered almost no bi-partisan support and led to one of the highest tax increase in Connecticut history.
Can we afford another two years of someone in office who will faithfully vote with the party that has essentially bankrupted Connecticut?
This November we have to send Malloy and the Democratic leaders a message and vote for a candidate that will not stand for the continued unchecked spending. John Fusco is that candidate.
