Obituary: Mary Ann F. DeSapio, 79

obituariesMary Ann F. DeSapio, 79, of Southington, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday August 20, 2016. She was the wife of Stephen DeSapio and were married for 58 years.  Mary Ann was born on July 16, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, and was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Paulina (Zuber) Reviaska.

She had been employed by Norman Miller Co. and Fashion Bug, prior to her retirement. Mary Ann was also a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church.

Mary Ann also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing scrabble. She enjoyed doing needlework and was a proficient tailor and seamstress.

Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Wotton and her partner Deborah Norman of Hamden, grandchildren Daniel and Matthew Wotton along with a sister Frances Berardi of Staten Island, NY. She was predeceased by an infant son Stephen DeSapio , and a brother John Reviaska.

Services will be held on Friday August 26 at 10:30 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N Main St. in Southington . Burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 pm.  For directions and on line condolences visit www.dellavecchiafh.com.
