Frontier Communications Corporation announced the appointment of Plantsville resident Jim Oddo as area general manager for northwest Connecticut effective Aug. 1. This region includes 42 cities and towns, including Danbury, Newtown, Waterbury, Litchfield and Torrington.
For more than 10 years, most recently as senior vice president of talent and human resources,
Oddo has played an integral role in staffing top talent throughout Frontier’s 29-state footprint.
In his new role, he will be responsible for every aspect of customer experience for Frontier in the northwest corner, including introducing residential and business customers to Frontier’s new suite of Vantage products, including video, internet, voice and fiber. He will be active in community organizations and promote the development of business and sales, lead field operations, and engage employees and community stakeholders.
Paul Quick is the senior vice president and general manager for Frontier’s Connecticut operations. “Jim has an outstanding history with Frontier and brings a strong skill set and experience to the East Region leadership team,” he said in a press release. “A lifelong resident of the state, he has a wealth of commercial and community relationships and is a passionate advocate for investment and job creation. We are confident he will continue to build high performing teams who will provide excellent customer service and deliver outstanding business results for Frontier in Northwest, Connecticut.”
Oddo holds a bachelor’s degree in consumer affairs from the University of Rhode Island. He has a strong history of working with military veterans and played a key role in adopting best practices on recruiting and hiring by going beyond the traditional resume and introducing digital interviewing first to companies and job candidates.
